Since Glunz & Jensen won the world’s biggest newspaper order in Singapore in January 2010, the company has succeeded in continuing a trail of significant worldwide orders at the largest printers in the graphic industry. The latest order, signed at the China Press BHD, of Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, brings Glunz & Jensen close to a 100% market share in Malaysia.
Glunz & Jensen launches the 3rd Generation of their inkjet based CtP solutions, PLUS introduces a National PlateMaking scrappage scheme to help customers future proof their business and upgrade their plate making systems.
The Times Herald–Record’s challenge to Glunz & Jensen was to use the same lock into two different cylinders from two different manufacturers, Goss Metro and TKS press cylinders. Both manufacturers have different cylinder dimensions and different cylinder‐slot dimensions.

Glunz & Jensen announced today that it has signed an agreement with Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH), through Agfa Graphics to upgrade the complete pre-press production at SPH Print Centre in Singapore. In the coming months, Glunz & Jensen will install 10 automated lines of Glunz & Jensen online CtP processors, punch/benders and central stacking systems, making SPH Print Centre one of the largest automated newspaper sites in the world.
Glunz & Jensen's stock price jumped up 14-15% in value after the release of the half-year result this week. This is the highest that the stock has been valued in over a year. The leadership maintains its expectations that the company will remain on budget and note that the ½-year result is better than expected.

PlateWriter is now a part of the official German Computer-to-plate market overview, containing 84 CtP systems from 16 manufacturers worldwide. This acknowledges PlateWriter as a powerful high tech CtP system.
Goodwin, the recipient of the individual award, has been in the graphic communications business for over 30 years. Suburban Chicago Life Publications, a unit of GateHouse Media Inc., is the first publisher to adopt Glunz & Jensen's economically priced VisionMaster punch bender. Glunz & Jensen introduced the device in January, with a price tag of under $50,000. Suburban commissioned the bender after beta testing the unit since last fall, according to Production Director Don Stamper!
Because of the PlateWriter, we have been able to remove all chemicals from our printing house and later this year we expect to launch completely new, environmentally friendly products. We are prepared for the stricter environmental legislation that is coming soon!”
