- Exposure unit for large-format flexographic plates up to 1320 x 2030 mm (52 x 80”)
- Pivot-hinged lid opens with pneumatic action for fast and safe access to three sides of the exposure bed
- Glass exposure bed eliminates the need to turn the plate during the two phases of exposure
- 2 storage drawers
Opening the lid reveals the temperature controlled exposure surface where plates are held in place by a vacuum. An inspection lamp and memory channels make the machine easy and convenient to use.
48 UV-A 100W 10/R bulbs with electronic ballasts and adjustable lamp temperature control. Lamps have the best UV output at 45°C, so a ventilation system is used to maintain the temperature at this value. A light integrator ensures that the plate always receives the same quantity of light, independent of the output of the individual lamps. Defective bulbs are automatic detected and easily replaced.
During back exposure, an additional 48 UV-A 100W 10/R lamps are moved into the ideal position under the plate by a pneumatic system. To allow for faster cooling and easier bulb replacement, the lamps are moved away from the glass when not in use. During the main exposure cycle, a shutter covers the back exposure lamps to avoid any light interference.
An oleodynamic system quickly and silently lifts the top lid, reducing the waiting time for the opening/closing movement of the lid and allowing for installation in rooms with lower ceilings.
